Give it up for the mom and pop shops! Great, great pizza! A single slice of pizza is big enough even for an NFL football player. I have to hand it to these guys, they really go all out with great pizza, as small as they are. Yeah, it's a little cramped in there, but worth the discomfort.

Great service and delicious garlic rolls! Pizza is delicious, pasta and chicken is not so great. Chicken was a bit old. Definitely suggest getting mozzarella sticks and a fresh pie!

I've only ordered and eaten take out Pizza. I've tried several different places and this is my favorite. Unfortunately, I am from Chicago...why is that unfortuante because I know what great Pizza tastes like! This is the closest in the immediate Pembroke Pines area. Check this place out, it's pretty good and they are prompt with service...

In the mood for a slice of pizza, this is the place to go, but be sure to either be very very hungry or ready to share!!! It is amazing that even thou this difficult economy times, you can get such an awesome huge slice of pizza for $3.25!!!! This is for a regular cheese slice, but trust me its delicious flavor needs to help from any toppings... It is a crispy paper thin crust topped with a generous amount of both sauce and cheese... baked to a crunchy bite!!!! we requested slice to be cut in half and we were each able to have a nice slice for ourselves. order yourself a side of garlic rolls - 1/2 dozen $2.95 - this are fluffy nice size pieces of delicious bread - topped with just the right amount of garlic and oil!!! finger lickin delicious!!! we also had a sub - 7" Doughboys Special - $5.35 - a nice soft white bread filled with plenty of imported ham, hard salami & provolone. Topped with lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles - even thou it is on menu under "cold subs" you can request for it to be heated. we also had this cut in half. service was awesome. staff was friendly. place was clean. we really enjoined our meal and found all the serving sizes to be more than enough to share!!! we will be back for sure!

Honestly I enjoy there mild/ hot wings. If you're in the mood for greasy fatting comfort food their wings will def hit the spot. The pizza slices are HUGE so when i go with my boyfriend we order just one slice each and wings and this is more than enough food! Dine-in service is very small, but is comfy like a small family business, great place to go to if you don't wanna go somewhere where you have to dress up and and get ready for. Location is hidden but thanks to that it usually isn't crammed and plenty of parking.

Nice little cozy Italian restaurant. They have many options and portion sizes are huge. Slice of Pizza, huge. Mini Calzone, huge, Salad? HUGE. get the idea? Not the cheapest lunch spot, but definitely will fill you up. 12$ average lunch including soda.

So, I'm just back from a long work trip in China. Yeah, China. My palette needed a good cleansing of the fried pork bones, soy, mushrooms and scorpions. Yep, I ate some scorpions. Anyway, I was having a huge craving for a good ole pizza/submarine shop like they have up in the northeast (Philly, Baltimore, NYC, New Haven). Doughboys is my favorite pizza/sub shop in SW Broward. The product is always fresh and cared for, and the staff is very chill and easy going. It MAY be a little pricey for what it is (full sub and order of fries with drink almost twenty bucks), but after at least a dozen visits, I haven't been let down. I have this thing for steak fries. I don't know why. Sadly, we don't have a Red Robin in the immediate area. They are famous for their "bottomless steak fries"...a stoned fat boy (or girl) dream! That said, Doughboys has DELICIOUS steak fries...always cooked to just the right temperature...crispy but soft, and not too browned. Steak fries are tricky, y'all. Undercooked, they are mealy and gelatinous. Overcooked they are tough and cumbersome. You can get them plain, or "loaded", with cheese and bacon. The subs are listed in a rather long menu of both hot and cold choices. The chicken parm is darn tasty, but my fave so far has been the Italian cold cut with everything on it. A half is enough for one person. I'd get the whole if you're having one of those days where you wake up at 1PM starving and want to eat. Get it, go home, and eat half. Sleep more until like 7pm, then eat the rest. My friends and I have always had success with the pizza, as well. Watch your mail or pennysavers for Doughboys coupons! They have refillable fountain sodas in huge (HUGE) styrofoam cups and a limited selection of desserts. (on the day I was there it was cannoli and snickers cheesecake). I've never "dined in" at Doughboys. Today, though, I was very tempted as I watched a rather happy looking family order a huge Sicilian style pie. It was a monster-sized rectangle of tall cheesy goodness. If I had had a weapon, I may have stolen it right from their 8 greasy hands. Go to Doughboys, and don't forget to bring your dough.

This is the best NY style pizza in Pembroke Pines. The pasta dishes and sauces are flavorful and fresh. They use premium ingredients. Dining room is very small. Wait staff is young and inexperienced. Pickup area is standing room only during peak ours. Pizza is pricier than average, but pastas are reasonable. NY style pizza by the slice is big and delicious. My favorites: pepperoni pizza, fettuccine alfredo and garlic rolls.

Ordered a Margherita Pizza and asked them to add garlic and OMG! The flavor was amazing and there was lots of garlic flavor! I loved this pizza! I usually prefer my pizza with thin crust because I like it crispy. This pizza wasn't a very thin crust and nor was it crispy but it was still magnificent. The tomatoes were fresh tasting and sweet. The only problem I had with this PARTICULAR order was, I asked that they cut the pizza in squares instead of the typical triangular larger slices. The squares were so small that I ended up getting about 30 tiny squares from a 10 inch pizza. Typically, depending on how it's sliced, I get 9-12 squares. I was picking up pieces so small, I could balance it on one finger. But man is that a small issue. This was my first time ordering the Margherita Pizza but certainly not my last. If you love garlic like me, you should try it! FANTASTIC!

I've only done doughboys for delivery, but as far as I'm concerned, it's the best pizza on this side of I-75! It's cheap, fast, BIG portions, and the service is friendly. What more can you ask for? Try the California Dream pizza- pesto, sundried tomatos, eggplant... it's AMAZING! They also have a greek salad with gorgonzola cheese that is great, and don't get me started on their baked ziti... It's torture when I do pick-up because I never make it home without finishing most of my pizza slice by the time I get home! For what it's worth, my parents also like to use them for catering when they have parties. I love it because we always have plenty of leftovers!

The pizza was very disappointing. Dough boys uses cheap ingredients. Their Sicilian pizza tasted like pizza served at school lunch. I can't believe that cheap, no flavor pizza cost $21. Holy crap!

Best Pizza in the area. I have been recently trying to decide which is my favorite local italian spot. After re-trying all the other spots, I have come to the conclusion this place is the best. I really enjoy their crust. One of the things I like about this place is although at first I became introduced to this place through their gourmet pizza selections, I recently tried their normal pizza and it is just as good. Honorable mentions are : Taco pizza & Spinach pizza.

Do you like food comas? If so, come to Doughboys! While I am not a huge fan of their pizza, their italian dishes are fab. The portions are HUGE! My boyfriend and I ordered from here on football Sunday and my eggplant parmigiana was in one tin pan and the side of pasta came in another tin. The side salad was great and the garlic rolls....oh the garlic rolls! They are heavenly even though your breath won't be after you eat them! The portion was so huge I could only eat half before I was stuffed.

I don't know how they don't have 5 stars. Seriously, this is undeniably the BEST pizza I have had in South Florida. I LOVE this place so much it holds a special place in my heart. Go here for the PIZZA!

My husband and I tried this place out the other day. We ordered and picked up. I'm not a big fan of their garlic rolls but everything else we ordered was great! We had the caprese salad: yummy tomatoes with fresh mozzarella and pieces of basil. The lasagna and pizza was really good as well. If you live in pembroke pines you get coupons by mail which is a plus!

Super good food here. All the portions are gigantic, I ordered a small stromboli and the thing was bigger than any large stromboli I have ever ordered. They have a buffalo wing pizza that is insane good. Over all a great place for pizza and Italian food.

Warning: Do not ask for anything spicy from their kitchen. The chef has no understanding of how a "little spice can go a long way." Normally, I love spicy food but this was too hot to even enjoy. Horrible experience. Manager or Owner was right there and didn't even care, will not return.

Not much to say here- it's pizza. Here's the twist... Butter. In your box of pizza you will find butter. A garlic butter dipping sauce more specifically, kinda like Papa Johns just minus the resentment. I don't know when dipping pizza in butter became a trend, but it seems to be catching on. Americans like butter. We also like bacon. The bacon trend has been going pretty strong for a few years now and it is showing up in things like martinis and ice cream, so I guess finding butter in my pizza box is the only logical next step. This all reminds me of an episode I saw once of Paula Dean's cooking show. She made lasagna. Akin to putting bacon on ice cream, good ol' Paula decided to put that lasagna on bread. A lasagna sandwich sounds legit, right? And just like dipping pizza in butter, Mrs. Dean decided that no lasagna sandwich is complete without a schmear of mayonnaise. The point I am trying to make here is: don't be surprised when people start putting mayonnaise on ice cream. Hell, Ben and Jerry are probably busy in the kitchen right now concocting up a new flavor called "devil's jizz" that combines the flavors of mayonnaise and butter in bacon flavored ice cream base with swirls of lasagna. So doughboys- they have pizza.

Well again I tried getting Sicilian pizza and I have to order a whole pie this sucks .well who said Florida people know the difference between a restaurant saving money on a few slices of pizza being left over and availability for their customers. This is the way it is here, the place prefers to save money than service their customers. Looking at their reviews the place reflects it.

  • Laura W.

We still love the pizza here, but I adore the salads. The Cusabi, with the "cucumber and wasabi" dressing was delicious, but so was the South Beach salad, with crumbled blue cheese, bacon, mushroom, egg, and red onion. A typical salad feeds 2-4 people, as a side. Delivery times typically run about 50 minutes, so plan ahead.

Good pizza, huge slices. The garlic rolls are also very good. I come here regularly. The dining room is usually cold so you might need a sweater. The menu is pretty extensive with items such as subs, wraps, calzones, etc..

I've been ordering from Doughboys for years now for catering / dinner. The food is consistent and ok. The service has always been hit or miss but never blatantly rude like today. I called to check on my delivery and was told it just left over an hour later and then the girl who picked up the phone just hung up. I order from them not because they are the best around but because it's easy and convenient. Sadly, I will never order from them again because I'm sick of inconsistent service i receive from the people who answer the phone and are at the front desk. 2 stars for the good people who work there which aren't many and for their consistent food. Done with this place.

I simply cannot say enough positive things about Doughboys. I have yet to try something that is not good on the menu. At relatively average prices, their pizzas cannot be beat. The crust has just the right amount of softness in it, without feeling soggy. The pizza slices are HUGE as well, so prepare to go with a big appetite. I love their caesar salads, real shaved parmesan and homemade caesar dressing, YUM! They have great lunch prices too. Where else can i go for a chicken parmigiana sub and a soup for only $5? I have been going to this local pizza joint for over 10 years and hope that it stays forever. It's really good!

I placed an order over the phone. They told me would be 60 minutes for delivery. Ok 60 minutes later they call to tell me the credit card did not go thru. No problem here is another credit card. They told me it would be another 60 minutes. You mean to tell me you waited all that time and not process my order. How in competent can an establishment be. I've got 10 starving kids watching the world cup waiting for food. This place is unreliable. Its been over a year since I've ordered from there. The previous time they also screwed up there Signature Margarita Pizza. The pizza was lousy and when I called to complain they blamed it on there new guy in the kitchen. On top of that the guy puts basil on the pizza and cooks it, all the basil was burned and completely black. Thats how they delivered it to me. They would'nt replace it. They told me to take the basil off. Dont waste your time with these guys. There are plenty of other establishments.

Great place love the Pizza and wings . Haven't tried the wraps yet , but I'm sure I won't be disappointed . You get lots of food and quality for the price . We ordered a veggie , cheese and pepperoni pizza salad and wings for a party at home and nobody had just one serving . Definitely will make this our spot .

We were looking for a place that delivered that wasn't Chinese or just pizza in our area and I am glad we found this place. They serve A LOT of food and delivery was fast. Their garlic rolls are buttery and delicious. We also ordered the baked ziti and it was A LOT! Their lasagna has a lot of sauce, it wasn't HUGE, but it was big enough.I just placed an order 20 minutes ago and they definitely have a repeat customer with me :) I have not eaten in the restaurant, Yet.

The lasagna and garlic buttery rolls are delicious!!! I've gone here 4 times in 2 weeks....can't be good for the waist line, but I can't help myself. The staff is friendly. I would give it 5 stars but the lunch portion included a big meatball and you can't substitute it for more lasagna. The meatball is good, but I want to go for the pasta!!! It forces you to order the dinner which cost two times as much. I had the pizza and eggplant parmigiana which are both good, but I love that lasagna.

Their pizza doesn't impress me but if you are looking for huge quantities of food, friendly service and lots of coupons then Doughboys might be great for you. I've enjoyed their subs the best. They put good effort into their orders.

  • Manny C.

First time ordering delivery from this place and the driver forgets part of my order. The meatball sub is great but I guess I didn't look at the menu correctly because dinner portion doesn't come with fries? Turned out to be a little pricey once I realized this.

Our first no chain pizza outing since returning from 4 years in Germany. We had a favorite place in Virginia and are looking for a local pizza shop. Overall good pizza. we had the meatlovers and it was a good size pie for hubby and I to split. We alo shared the Pasta Toss. Past was very good and a huge portion. Both Hubby and I have lunch for the next day. We will be back to try other menu items. Good service and a nice small restaurant.

Ok, so I read the rave reviews about the "best pizza in South Florida", and I have to say that this is false. However, their pizza definitely is delicious. The pizza has a slightly crispy crust. Not to the point that you would complain that they baked it too long, but just enough that it gives it that nice texture while still retaining the flavor. The toppings are also excellent here. That's rare, because while there are a few places that may have a better overall pizza, the toppings usually aren't as good as they are here. Kudos to Doughboys on that. The devil is in the details. Their dishes are supreme. Not only are they very tasty and flavorful, but they are big, Take the Chicken Marsala, for example. You can certainly tell that the quality of the chicken isn't all that great (definitely not Perdue here), but the way it is prepared makes up for it, and you may not even notice. The dish will run you $13.50, and yet, you will get garlic knots (which are fantastic and utterly swimming in garlic), a soup or salad, the main dish, and a bowl of pasta. Let me be clear here: The main dish and pasta bowl can be two separate meals by themselves. Nowhere else will you get more bang for your buck than here, and that's saying a lot because I'm always talking about the value at Cheddar's in Tamarac. Nope. Doughboys has them beat. I don't know if it's just that compounding joyous feeling that automatically makes you love everything just because of one good experience, but their wings are very good as well. Lots of flavor, cooked just right (not too crispy, not too soft, not too watery), and you can't eat just one. They aren't the biggest wings, but they will definitely get the job done. Add to all this the fact that they have the gall to show Who Framed Roger Rabbit? on repeat (a great movie, btw), and you have yourself a sweet pizza place. I wish they were closer to where I live, but that doesn't stop me from making the occasional trip over here to have some great food. Unlike many other pizza places, this is one place that you can actually get "in the mood" to visit. Approve!

Delivery during a business trip. I think I've decided all the delivery around my hotel is super slow. So I wasn't surprised when this took over an hour. But the food was good. Huge portions of pasta. We got ravioli, lasagna, and penne with broccoli. Lots and lots of cheese (almost too much - and that's saying something given I'm from Wisconsin). Meals came with garlic rolls and salad/soup.

The pizza from doughboys is pretty darn good. If you get a slice at the counter it will be an oversized slice that practically counts for two slices. Their cannolis are ultra delicious. The cannoli cream is definitely on point. I hear the wraps are very good and plan to try them soon!

So I saw all of the great reviews but I think people really need to try better food. I went and they were nice and all the food was packaged nicely and it looked like it would be good. The pizza was ok. I had a steak and cheese sub and it was not the best just average frozen steakum style meat. The garlic bread was mushy and 90% oil. The wings though were AWFUL boiled and gummy. So nothing special. I'll keep looking

Most amazing pizza and pasta place out there!! Dough boys has catered many personal events of mine and for the best prices! Great customer service!! Chicken Alfredo is everything :)

Warning: Do not ask for anything spicy from their kitchen. The chef has no understanding of how a "little spice can go a long way." Normally, I love spicy food but this was too hot to even enjoy. Horrible experience. Manager or Owner was right there and didn't even care, will not return.

The last two times we've order from here it's been off. My in-laws got sick. I love their pizza, don't get me wrong but come on guys, get it together I don't want to order from Primos ;)

Their pizza doesn't impress me but if you are looking for huge quantities of food, friendly service and lots of coupons then Doughboys might be great for you. I've enjoyed their subs the best. They put good effort into their orders.

First time ordering delivery from this place and the driver forgets part of my order. The meatball sub is great but I guess I didn't look at the menu correctly because dinner portion doesn't come with fries? Turned out to be a little pricey once I realized this.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
